Bark Collars - An Excellent Training Tool For Dogs

Bark collars for dogs go by many names.  They can also be called bark control collars, anti bark collars, and no bark collars.  Despite that fact, they all basically perform the same function.  The owner fastens the collar snugly on the dog's neck, then whenever the dog barks, the collar delivers a correction.  This correction could be in the form of a mild electric shock, a spray of citronella, or a loud beeping sound.  All of the above are irritating to the dog, but not harmful.  When he experiences the correction in association with barking, he will eventually learn to curb his nuisance barking.

These bark collars for dogs are extremely easy to use.  In fact, that is one of their best qualities.  You simply place the collar on the dog, and allow it to do the training for you.  Regardless of the size of your dog, you should be able to find an appropriate training system.  Even the most stubborn of dogs respond well to training.

Though there has been some controversy surrounding the use of bark collars for dog training, they do have one exceptional function.  They are pre-programmed to deliver the appropriate stimulus.  Unfortunately, dog owners often become frustrated or angry with their pets, and over-punish or over-correct.  The will never make this mistake.  Simply set it to the proper level, and allow the collar to do the training for you.  (It is always best to use the lowest effective level of stimulus.)

Many dog owners have reported dramatic positive changes in their dog's behavior within one day of use.  Though it is common for the dog to become startled the first few times he experiences the correction, he will quickly learn that it is not harmful.  Though it may not seem so to frustrated owners, dogs learn very quickly, and thrive on routine.  The repetitive nature of the bark collar's correction will transform the dog's behavior unbelievably quickly.

Unfortunately, no matter how often some dog owners are assured of the safety of bark collars for their dogs, they can never be convinced.  In that case, pinch collars for dog training can be an excellent alternative.
